Esports Head Coach

The Head Esports Coach is a member of the CIU Athletics department and is charged with coaching, managing, and leading the co-ed CIU Esports program to compete at the collegiate level of Esports. 

• Coach and administrate for all CIU Esports teams including Rocket League, Overwatch and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. 
• Manage and maintain the sports facility ensuring that all equipment is up to date and appropriately used. 
• Create and implement recruiting strategies to hit recruiting goals set by the Director of Athletics.
• Ensure players meet eligibility requirements for participation. 
• Manage team schedule for practice, games, and study halls. 
• Cast vision for future projects within the program to promote growth. 
• Lead the team and players spiritually creating a culture of Christ-honoring athletes. 
• Work with other departments on campus to help achieve program goals. 
• Create a healthy competitive culture of winning within the program. 
• Forecast budget needs as well as create solutions to budget needs.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two (2) plus years’ experience in Esports industry as a coach, shoutcaster, manager, or other relevant position.
• Evidence of a maturing relationship with Christ.
• Evidence of a prior winning record and/or a significantly competitive rank in a respective Esports title.
